For folks who are just looking for a little easier time standing up, a very low cost option could be a simple device called a “Furniture riser”, these risers look like an upside down cone/furniture coaster. What they do though is allow your old chair to be raised between 2″-5″ higher off the ground depending on the risers purchased. These 2″+ inches can make a large difference on the difficulty or ease a person has getting to a standing position. For just a $15-$30 outlay they are definitely worth thinking about! We are looking for a provider to supply the Texas Lift Chair site at the moment, so check back soon for more articles and new product reviews as we expand our coverage of lift furniture and new mobility aids!

Keep up the good work. A lift chair can be a big investment, I would rather spend a few hours researching it than a few thousand paying for it!

    Hey
thank you extremely much, this is so cool! Hoped to find more local options, (I only usually buy a few things over the internet), but there just was not a good enough selection around here (and I do not want to drive all over Oklahoma just to look at lift chairs!).
